About Numbers & Beyond Family Run Business

Numbers and Beyond is run by two sisters, Linda and Frances Foster.

“We love what we do and we think it’s because we were born to do it! Our father was a Chartered Accountant and our mother a bookkeeper so accountancy is definitely in our blood.”
Linda Foster

Linda set up Numbers and Beyond in 2013 as she was keen to offer small and medium sized businesses quality financial support, from bookkeeping right through to strategic planning. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, having trained at Deloitte & Touche in London.

Her commercial experience was gained at Gestetner (part of the Ricoh Group) and from more than thirteen years at The Economist Group, where she was a Finance Director. Whilst at The Economist, she especially enjoyed developing and helping to implement business strategy, working with newly formed businesses, new product launches and playing a central part in the acquisition of a business. She loves working with ambitious business-owners, who are keen to expand and take on new challenges.

“There’s an amazing energy and buzz around entrepreneurs. I find it totally infectious. It makes me want to get stuck in and help them to plan, monitor and achieve.”

Frances has a strong financial background and was formerly an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute. Having specialised in pensions’ management for over thirty years, she has assisted the trustees and helped to manage the admin for the pension funds of corporates, including Unilever, P&O and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She enjoys using her analytical, numerical and communication skills to help clients make sense of their numbers. As a qualified Prince2 practitioner, she is also able to help clients manage projects, keeping them on track and on budget.

“It’s great to bring the numbers to life so that managers can understand what’s happening in their business and take action if needed.”

Linda and Frances are supported by three trained specialists: a credit controller, funding broker and tax specialist.
